FAQs.

How is Rooted + Free different from a homeschool co-op or a private school?

Rooted + Free is the best of both of these! We like to call what we offer "outsourced homeschooling" where your children get the attention and a curriculum that allows them to move at their own pace like homeschooling, and the out-of-home socialization, enrichment opportunities, and ability to share the educational load like a private school.

What grades + ages do you serve?

Currently, we offer transitional kindergarten through 8th grade & our students are divided into mixed-age groups. We are in the process of building out our High School program.

  • Transitional Kindergarten: ages 4-6

  • Primary: ages 5-7

  • Elementary: ages 7-9

  • Upper-Elementary: ages 9-11

  • Middle: ages 12-14

What are your school hours?

Our hours of operation are 9 am to 3 pm Monday-Friday for Transitional Kindergarten, Primary, and Elementary. Upper-Elementary & Middle meet 9 am to 3 pm Tuesday-Friday. Families have the choice between a 2-day, 3-day, 4-day model. The selected days remain the same week-to-week. Drop-off is any time from 8:30 am to 9am.

Do you offer before and after-care?

We do not offer before or after-school care. Drop-off is between 8:30 am & 9am. Pickup is promptly at 3 pm.

Are you a religious-based resource group?

Once students reach our Elementary group, they do a portion of their studies online. This set of pre-selected curriculums certain subjects can be either faith-based or non-religious.
